The introduction of e-learning systems to cater for the academic needs of tertiary students. Also this is to help students utilize the break which was implemented. This is as a result of the novel covid-19 pandemic; in recent times has met a lot of criticisms.
This saw student representative councils, student associations and student activists. Who were working in the interest of the student body by joining a campaign. This was to submit their petition of grievances towards the initiative as well as suggestive solutions.
A cry to halt the e-learning system that was implemented by the various tertiary institutions. It seems to have fallen on deaf ears for some institutions. And other management seems to have heard and come to their aid.
Moreover, one of the tertiary institutions that made waves over the past weeks was the University of Cape Coast (UCC). The student hit the multimedia with their hashtag, “halt e-learning” now. Has their expectations and grievances been settled yet?

In addition, from the Learning Management System(LMS) of the University of Cape Coast, on April 22, 2020. They went ahead to update the e-learning database of their students. In all, just to make way for the e-learning initiative of the school to run.
A few days after this, students are out with another cry, what could it be this time? The students of University of Cape Coast have expressed their disappointment in the e-learning system. Emphatically accessibility to the e-learning platform.
Below are the complaint of some student;
The LMS within 48 hours of the inception of the e-learning initiative via their portal has been on maintenance for a couple of times. Students have joyously embraced the initiative only for them to be left strangled on this enthusiast road to learning.
This was the NOTICE from the LMS of the University to student.
Day in day out, we receive message from fellow colleagues who complains of internet connectivities. So the best we do is to take their details and create the account for them.
The students are crying to the authorities to resolve this permanently so as to aid in the smooth running of this initiative. They believe that a quality mode of delivery will propel them to give out their best in such times.
We therefore plead with SRC and Management to help our fellow students facing such difficulties.
