British Nigerian singer Moelogo has disclosed that the first person to give him funding for his music project was a Ghanaian.
However, Moelogo was speaking to Prince Benjamin on the Class Drive (CD) on Class91.3FM.
The Hip-Hop artiste whose latest collaboration was with Ghanaian rapper M.anifest titled ‘Ohemaa’ has worked with three Ghanaian artistes so far, including M.anifest and Sakordie.
Currently promoting his EP titled ‘Me’, the artiste described Ghana as a significant part of his musical career.
“I love Ghana. I claim Ghana. Ghana is my country. I always tell people this because the first person to ever take me on and believe in my journey or my story was a Ghanaian man. Also, his name is Fred Lartey. He’s in Ghana and he was one of the first people to support my grind and put his money behind me. he made sure that he pushed me out there to the Ghanaian community in the UK,” Moelogo said.
“And also, the first artiste to reach out and say he wanted to do a remix of my song was Sarkodie and that time, he didn’t even know who I was and he spoke to DJ Abrantie. Even the first DJ to even promote my music was DJ Abrantie in the UK so I’ve always had love from the Ghanaian community, they mean a lot to me,” he added.
