Death toll increases to 129 as Ghana records 992 new cases of Covid-19.
Ghana has confirmed another record increase of 992 new Covid-19 infections in a single update bringing the country’s case count to 21,077.
According to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), the number of recoveries/discharge is now 16,070 from the previous 14, 870.
However, seven more persons have died from the novel coronavirus putting the death toll at 129.
There are currently 4,878 cases as of July 3, 2020, says GHS.
“A total of 992 new cases were reported on July 3, 2020. These are samples that were taken from the period 18 June to 1 July 2020… but reported from the lab on July 3,” the Service’s website indicated.
