Committee Being Set Up To Look Into COVID-19 Situation In Schools
His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo has tasked the sub-committee of the Presidential COVID-19 Taskforce to quickly look into the coronavirus cases being recorded in some schools, Information Minister has said.
The Minister for Information, Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah at a press briefing on Thursday, July 9. He announced that “Akufo-Addo has tasked a sub-committee of the COVID-19 Presidential taskforce. That will quickly address challenges that may arise in the next eight weeks while final-year students are in school”.
Moreover, the government spokesperson explained. “It is to ensure that the guidelines of campus quarantine are “strictly enforced”. And any gaps “swiftly addressed”. Where incidents are suspected of the novel virus.
Also, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah added that special arrangements were being put in place to address the concerns of anxious parents.
