A former National Coordinator of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) and proud Ghanaian teacher. Who is embedded with high level of integrity and numerous track records said. Examination malpractices in Ghana’s education system did not begin in 2020. And also, people who are behaving like “sainthood” in connected with this year’s happenings should spare him.

However, according to him, it was a surprise to everyone. As we all just woke up to the bizarre attitudes of this year’s WASSCE candidates.  And also, all of a sudden, many people have become saints. Detailing how they were ‘sacrosanct’ when they were writing their WASSCE. Please spare me the “sainthood”.

Mr. Baguri noted that, inasmuch as the attitudes of the candidates who think cheating in the examination room is their entitlement, is condemnable and should not be entertained, examination malpractices did not begin in 2020. It is as old as examinations in our education system.

Perhaps, what is new is the public rain of ” insults” and assaults on the persons of people in authority. “These guys got nerves”

He further argued that, the attitudes of these candidates are only manifestations of a canker we craftily ignored. However, the responsibility we shed, the truth we were silent on is what has culminated into today’s happenings.

“What is important is for relevant stakeholders to take conscious efforts to diminish if not eradicate the rampant occurrences of examination malpractices. Sadly, the worst perpetrators of similar offenses yesterday, are those claiming sainthood today.” He said.
