UCC: The Meeting of the 18th Student Parliamentary Council with the Vice Chancellor.
University of cape coast vice chancellor, Prof Johnson Nyarko Boampong, met with the 18th student parliamentary council on April 1, 2021 which was being covered Equi Gh Media and he addressed the academic, security and social challenges on campus that were brought forth to him by the Student Parliamentary Council.
In terms of academics, he made mention of writing quizzes on weekends, he said that he is not in support of it, thus he will not encourage it. However, he said that exams can be written during holidays.
Also, he addressed matters of security, land encroachment and increments of the hostel fees. He assured that the frequent water crises on campus and all other student matters are still being looked into.
Further speaking, he urged students to adhere to the Covid-19 protocols as he had observed that students were flouting the Covid-19 protocols.
