[NUGS UPDATES] Provisional Results Of NUGS 2021 Elections
Counting of ballots is underway at the Madina Institute of Science and Technology after voting ended for this year’s National Union of Ghana Students election.
Electoral Officers have so far concluded the counting of ballots cast for some four offices – Secretary for Education, Secretary International Relations, Secretary for Society and Welfare, and Secretary for Union Development.
Two former Junior Common Room presidents at the University of Ghana, Pius Baidoo and David Hughes, have claimed victory after the announcement of provisional results.
Ms. Amenu Ewenam has also been affirmed as the Secretary for Union Development, according to provisional results.
Kyeremeh Oppong Daniel also snatched victory over Jerry Mumuni for the Secretary for Education office.
There is heavy security presence in the counting room, UniversNews understands.
