Yiadom Boakye  Wins NUGS Presidential Race

Emmanuel Boakye Yiadom has been elected as the new President of the National Union of Ghana students.

He defeated Dennis Larbi and Dr. Sylvester Amoako.

Per the provisional results, Yiadom Boakye garnered 522 votes while Dennis Appiah Larbi and Dr. Sylvester Owusu Amoako polled 207 and 91 votes, respectively.

Two ballots were rejected.

Other winners

Anthony Kwame Julius has been elected as the General Secretary of the National Union of Ghana Students.

He beat his only contender, Alexander Justice Adigbli by 200 votes.

Julius polled 492 votes against Justice’s 292.

Others are Grace Bediako for the Secretary for Women Development office, Akwasi Sarpong as Finance Secretary, and Afrani Kesse as Secretary for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Science and Development.

Pius Baidoo was elected as the Secretary for International Relations and Oppong Kyeremeh Daniel as Secretary for Education.
