Aside prayers, the next most important thing in the routine of the Muslims is fasting. It is one of the sacred things held in high esteem in their community. This year was no different, the fast begun on the 12th day of April and will be end on the 11th day of May. The fast is usually referred to as ‘Ramadan’.
To climax the 30days fast, the MP for Madina Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu (Esq.) is organizing a funfair to celebrate and end the the holy month for all the children in his constituency.
However, in a blog post which was shared with Bestghananews, the fair is opened for pupils under the age of 18. The aim of this funfair is to bring together all young Muslims in the constituency in merrymaking and to also thank the Almighty Allah for bestowing upon them strength during the holy month.
The fair with caption ‘SOSU CHILDREN’S SALAFEST’ is slated for the 13th of May (Eid day), from 2 o’clock to 5 o’clock at the Madina Astro Turf (Lybia Quarters).
He is therefore, asking all parents to let their wards join in in the celebration to thank Allah and break the fast with their peers. Wishing all Muslims balekadi sala.
