Three persons have been arrested by the Kibi District Police on Sunday, May 16, 2021, for stealing livestock.
The suspects were picked up when a patrol team led by Chief Inspector Jacob Narh Charway had information that some people on board Toyota saloon car were stealing goats and sheep at Akyem Akropong and heading towards Kibi in the Eastern Region.
The suspects were chased when they saw the police on Adadientem – Kibi road ran through the blockade and in the process, the police shot the front tyre.
They have been identified as Bismarck Togbor, 43, Kwame Danso, 32, and Eric Owusu, 20 were arrested at Obretema on the highway.
The police found 20 livestock after a thorough search. 13 live goats, five dead goats, and two sheep were found.
The Toyota Corolla saloon with registration number GS 3332- 20 has been impounded at the station whiles investigation continues.
