Students Should Be Involved In Planting Of Trees on Green Ghana Day – Abu Jinapor
The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel A. Jinapor has petitioned the Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum for prospective students in the country to plant trees on Green Ghana Day slated for June 11, 2021.
This the Damongo Member of Parliament said is to save the environment and produce the needed positive impact on climate change in Ghana.
Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor made the appeal when he paid a working visit to the Education Minister on Monday to discuss the forthcoming Green Ghana Day event.
Speaking to the Minister of Education, the Lands Minister said his outfit is committed to achieving the goal of one student planting a tree on June 11, 2021, which marks Green Ghana Day.
“Together, we are committed to achieving the goal of one (1) student planting a tree in the day,” Abu Jinapor stated in a social media post sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh.
He concluded that it was imperative to inculcate the necessary habit of tree planting in the youth including students adding, the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources is targeting to plant 5 million trees on June 11, 2021.
