The West African Examinations Council(WAEC) says it considering filing a lawsuit against Kofi Asare’s Africa Education Watch for claiming the 2020 WASSCE questions were intentionally leaked to the first beneficiaries of free SHS policy.

Speaking at briefing monitored by EducationWeb.com.gh, the head of Public Affairs at WAEC, Agnes Teye Cudjoe, said the Education Think Tank did not consult her outfit before publishing the report of the just ended examination.

Denying the Watch’s accusation, Mrs Agnes Teye Cudjoe insisted no questions were leaked from WAEC to students. The Head of the WAEC Legal department, Rev. Victor Brew similarly has described the 2020 WASSCE report as fraught with inaccuracies.

EduWatch among other things has however outlined some recommendation when taken into action by the non-profit-making organization (WAEC) will help end the annual leakages of WASSCE questions on social media platforms.

The Council has been advised to introduce an internet-based encrypted email system that sends questions 30 minutes ahead of the commencement of examinations, by which time all candidates should be seated.
