The much-anticipated 22nd edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards kicked off Friday, June 25, 2021, at the auditorium of the Dome in Accra.
The first night of the music weekend dubbed the ‘Industry Night’ had 13 awards up for grabs, including Group of the Year and African Artiste of the Year.
The two-day event, happening tonight and on Saturday, opened with performances from Fameye, Ded Peepol, Okyeame Kwame, Yaa Yaa and Larusso among others.
Some winners on the night include Kofi Kinaata who made history with his 4th Songwriter of the Year award win, Keche won Group of the Year, new artiste Abiana won Female Vocalist of the Year and MOG Music for the second consecutive time won the Male Vocalist of the Year award.
