PRESS RELEASE: NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY YOUTH ORGANIZATION BACKS GOVERNMENT ON PAYMENT OF SALARIES TO FIRST AND SECOND LADIES

As the controversies surrounding the payment of the salaries of the spouses of the President and Vice President, many young people have kicked against it so strongly. Clearly, there are so many unemployed youths in the country who deserve better living and working conditions so such actions should be cancel.
Today, New Patriotic Party Youth Organization(NPPYO) has twisted the whole issue ,arguing that the spouses of the President and Vice President of Ghana are doing a lot of developmental projects in various communities in Ghana, which we are mostly aware of; hence they need additional resources to augment activities .
New Patriotic Party Youth Organization(NPPYO) carefully highlighted the First Lady, Madam Rebecca Akuffo Addo and Second Lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia contributions to the country that expected to get allowances(Salaries ) in order to achieve more to the development of this country .
To start with the First lady ,under health sector, she has recently commissioned a health centre at Kwame Anum in Ga East municipality on Tuesday,2020 and restoring Hope Project and the Rebecaa Foundation Health Initiative screened a total of 3119 persons in the Ashanti, Greater Accra and Upper West region . More on health sector ,under the community health outreach Initiative ,a new CHPS compound was equipped at Seduase in the Katamanso of Greater Accra region.2000 Ghanaians have been screened and some referred medical intervention and Neo and fully equipped Maternity Neo natal intensive care and paediatric Intensive Care at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Bantama and Korlu-Bu Teaching Hospital ,Accra . NPPYO added, “renovation and equipping of Abbam krom health center at Adeiso, Heath items donated to health facilities in all sixteen regions .
Listing her achievements in the field of education ,the First lady had led the construction of four libraries at sefwi Debiso, Bia west, Moree in the central region, Wenchi in the Bono region and Daffiama Busei Isaah in the Upper West region. The First Lady had also donated school shoes and books to various schools across the country . She had also donated mordern computers to schools in Ghana . The achievements under the First lady Madam Rebecca Akuffo Addo can not mention all due to the space NPPYO added.
On other hands, Second lady Madam Hajia Samira Bawumia is an accomplished women and a passionate advocate for women’s rights, women’s health .She empowerment of the under-priviliged child education and gender parity .She has pourised initiatives that focus on issues of health women empowerment and literacy . Second lady has restocked some basic schools in Ghana with books as part of her campaign for formally a literacy powerhouse by inspiring a reading culture in Ghanaian children .She has also equipped selected rural hospitals and clinics with a range of essential medical supplies and equipment to help curb the rising rates of avoidable deaths in Ghana.
