UCC ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS STUDENTS INAUGURATES NEW SECRETARIAT

The University of Cape Coast Association of Business Students (UCCABS) inaugurates it’s newly established Secretariat within the School of Business Office Complex.

The inauguration was held yesterday in a ceremony graced by the Dean of the School of Business, Prof. John Gatsi, the Vice Dean of the School, Dr. Elizabeth Cornelia Annan-Prah, who also doubles up as a Patron for the Association, and the Faculty officer of the School, Mr. Joseph Obeng.

Aided by the Vice Dean and the Faculty Officer, the Dean successfully cut the ribbon on the entrance to officially open the Secretariat for use.

The Secretariat is the first of it’s kind by any Association in the University of Cape Coast and is set to represent the student body of the School of Business.

Speaking after the inauguration, Prof. John Gatsi thanked the Executives of the Association for their hard work and selfless service in ensuring the establishment of the Secretariat and pledged the support of his office to the cause of the Secretariat.

The President of the Association Mr. Kent Baidoo on behalf of the Executives and the students, in turn thanked the Dean. He also extended his gratitude to the Patrons of the Association, the Faculty Officer and the Lecturers of the School for their unflinching support and commitment towards the cause of the Association. He assured that the Secretariat would be used to satisfy the purpose for which it was established and serve the interest of all undergraduate students of the School of Business.

The ceremony ended successfully, with the new Secretariat now Officially opened for access by the students.
