THE PRESIDENT OF FG-MELSA MEETS WITH THE ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONS COUNCIL
Story by: Regyboat
FG-MELSA delegation; led by the President, Mr. OFOSU ISAAC, on Monday 12th July 2021, sat in a meeting with the Allied Health Professions Council; The Registrar (left to the President), Deputy Registrar (left to the General Secretary) and other members of the Council.
Receiving the President and the General Secretary, the Registrar was full of praise as he congratulated Mr. Isaac Ofosu for his good intentions for the people of FG-MELSA and thanked him for his appreciation to the council on their support in the just ended industrial action.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on an upcoming National Project dubbed “KNOW YOUR STATUS” and a training summit for campus-based media groups on the theme “Promoting Health Education in Tertiary Institutions Through Campus – Based Media Groups”.
Concerns on the deadline for payment of the fees for Provisional license were raised and the Council heeded to those concerns. Hence, extension of the deadline should hopefully be expected as they go to discuss with the entire members of the Council.
The Registrar and the Deputy Registrar commended the leadership of FG-MELSA for his bold step and appreciated that he came up to them to discuss issues concerning the practice and regulation of the profession.
The Council is yet to respond on other issues raised during the meeting.
