Joe Jackson commends Togbe Afede for ‘speaking up’

The Chief Operations Officer of Dalex Finance, Joe Jackson, has backed former Council of State member Togbe Afede XIV over his recent write-up on the current economic crisis.

Mr Jackson says the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State stated succinctly what many have been afraid to state.

“I just want to applaud Togbe for saying it so succinctly and putting [it] together and not being afraid of whose ox is gored,” he statement on TV3‘s Midday Live on Monday, December 12.

“And it is important that we speak up at this point in time in the life of this country.”

He said as a beneficiary of the “good” Ghana, it is important for the ills in the society to be exposed, like Togbe Afede XIV has done.

“We should all rise up to speak against the ills that we find,” he stressed.

He said there may be differences in terms of how the former President of the National House of Chiefs expressed his opinion but the truth is what he has poured out.

“Togbe, I applaud you. I say Thank You for speaking up and I say ‘Congratulations’.”

Togbe Afede XIV’s piece titled ‘Our Self-Inflicted Monumental Crisis’ expresses the “frightening” state of the country, laying the blame at the doorstep of the current government.
