Gaming Commission of Ghana Donates to La Wireless School
The Gaming Commission of Ghana on Wednesday, September 11, donated items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the La Wireless School in Labone, a suburb of Accra.
The donated items included office chairs, stationery and other educational materials to the school
The Commission also took time to sensitise the students about the risks of gambling and betting which can affect their education.
The sensitisation which was held on the premises of the school with the staff of the commission in attendance which benefited majority of the students.
The Gaming Commission reminded the students of the Gambling Act 2006 that individuals are prohibited under 18 years in their engagement in any form of gambling or betting.
The Gaming Commission ban on slot machines, which is implemented in the year December 2021.
Which included jackpots and table soccer games which continue to infiltrate the communities which pose risk to school children.
The Corporate Affairs Manager of the Commission, Beatrice Baiden , took time to explained to the students about responsible gambling and the community wide sensitisation.
The head teacher of the La Wireless Mrs. Millicent Lawson Adokpa also took time to expressed her gratitude to the Gaming Commission for their generous support .
