This 31-point gap is significant, as it shows Mahama gaining a notable edge. “Mahama attracts 96% of his base, while Bawumia secures 88%, giving Mahama an 8-point advantage,” the poll indicated.
The poll also points to a significant shift in voter allegiance from the NPP to the NDC in critical regions like Greater Accra and Central. “In Greater Accra, 20% of those who voted for Nana Addo in 2020 have switched to Mahama, and in the Central region, 37% have done the same,” according to the report.
Economic issues remain the dominant concern of voters, with 70% citing the economy, 62% focusing on jobs, and 48% emphasizing education as key factors. “Economy, jobs and education remain the top issues for voters according to the poll as 70% of the issues cited as important was the economy, followed by jobs, 62% and Education, 48%”, the report states.
