2024 Private Candidates second batch of provisional WASSCE results Out – WAEC

Candidates can now access their results via the WAEC online portal using their examination details.
The council also disclosed that some examination malpractices were detected.
The subject results of 34 candidates and the entire results of 43 candidates were withheld pending investigations.
The council has also cautioned candidates and the general public to be wary of fraudsters who claim to upgrade results for a fee, often requesting payment via mobile money. The WASSCE results can be authenticated directly on the council’s website.
After some controversy, the council confirmed that the subject results of 4,108 candidates caught cheating during the public 2024 WASSCE were cancelled.
In January, some upset parents and students besieged WAEC’s Kumasi office to demand the release of withheld results.
In March 2025, the council was compelled by a court to release some withheld results. At the time, WAEC had withheld over 10,000 results over suspected malpractices. Four students petitioned a high court on behalf of all affected candidates.
The court further held that keeping the results indefinitely could hinder the academic and professional progress of the students. The court also noted that WAEC had failed to provide sufficient justification for its actions.
